Scrambling in the Lake District

Scrambling in the Lake District
Scramble and keep dry, if you can.

Example itineraries are Sourmilk Ghyll above Seathwaite - Piers Gill approach from Borrowdale. Both of these great routes can finish by topping out on Grey Knotts or Scafell Pike respectively.

Other examples:- Striding and Swirral Edges top out on Helvellyn or the Cam Crag Ridge top out on Glaramara.

Spend the day in fantastic scenery, climb the ghyll with as little environmental impact as possible - preserve the flora for others and disturb the habitat as little as possible.

Image is of Leeds Met students who scrambed up Stickle Ghyll then Jacks Rake and then topped out on Pavey Ark.

A full day out in the mountains.
